Cold - Colder  - Coldest

It has been COLD for some time now.
It got COLDER a few days back.
Today it was the COLDEST day I have experienced so far this winter.
It was -11C when I was out walking the dog this morning.

BACCHUS

BACCHUS is one of several cafes in town where you can drink your coffee outside.
Today was SO COLD, so I guess most people preferred to be inside.

The shipyard Rosenberg has had different owners, but always kept ROSENBERG in its name.
It is located at Buøy / Hundvåg, a short drive from the city centre.
The yard has been involved in the ship and oil business for many many years.
Today it is Rosenberg WorleyParsons.

Today the schools winter holiday week started.
There will be less traffic on the roads next week.
A quiet week ahead since lots of families are going away for a week or two.

The snow has nearly all gone. It started raining yesterday evening and has not stopped.

Well, there are other things on the agenda up here in the north of Europe rather than whether or not it is snowing.

In South Korea we have a big Norwegian troop of winter sports people who will be representing the Nation in The Winter Olympics.

Newspapers are full of information and photos from tests they do, and here we see their faces all over, like here on the milk carton.

Retro and vintage style.

Today treasures from the 60's and 70's are very popular by young people.
Every HOME magazine shows retro items together with green plants.
Charity shops are doing well when giving their items a second chance in new homes.
This is a pattern that was common in many homes and cottages for decades.

On Sundays the city looks different. More quiet, too quiet some will say.
But the good thing is that it is possible to see things like this street art that normally is hidden behind parked cars.

Great weekend, cold and sunny.
Here I am out walking along the coast of the North Sea.

Sayings by Ajax.

Up in the air you can see "sayings" by Ajax (Andreas Jakobsen 1909-1995), who wrote stories using local dialect and wrote about Johanna and her brother Broremann.
Business people around the city centre have gone together and paid for more lights, that will light up some of the narrow streets.
