NATO mine countermeasures force.

The NATO mine countermeasures force that were here, consisted of seven vessels.
This is the submarine.

I was surprised to learn that there are still more than a thousand mines, left over from WW11, lying along the Norwegian coast.

Visitors.

It is quite international down at the harbour.

The Navy.

The harbour has visitors from different Nato member Navies this weekend, and the public had the opportunity to visit onboard for most of the vessels.

Hillevåg.

The day started with rain.
This is the parking area outside lots of shops and offices in Hillevåg.
Part of it is private, and people going to the shopping mall Kilden, mainly park in the multi-storey car park.

The day turned to sunshine later on, but now the wind is really starting to pick up.
Have a nice and relaxing weekend !

Drinking session.

I parked the car outside an office building.
It looked like someone must have had a drinking session in the parking area last night.

Less people smoking today.

This is probably the most tidy smoking area I have seen for a long time.
It was outside a hairdressers, so I guess the customers want to walk away smelling nice instead of smelling of cigarettes.

Or what?

Herr Jensen, the dog, is visiting us this weekend.
So we have been out in the rain.
After all the sunny days it is actually quite nice with a change.

NUART 2014

I heard on the news a few days back that Norway is exporting cow hide to the fashion industry .
So if you see some bags and wallets ..... it might be from "Dagros" or some of her other cow friends.

Parking.

This is a sign saying that parking here is RESERVED FOR WOMEN!

I have never used it, but it is close to the entrance, so I guess it is very popular.
We should perhaps have had the sign in English too?

Anyway, I have seen a sign saying "Ladies Waiting Room" at a (train) station in the UK.

Perhaps there are other places that have spaces just for women??

p.s. The dent in the sign is probably not the best advertisement for us female drivers though :)

Picaresque.

This is the artist Guy Allott who explains the work of several UK artists, including himself, who are exhibiting work as part of the exhibition "Picaresque" at Hå Gamle Prestegård.

It amazes me to listen to what artists can come up with regarding meaning and thoughts.

Sometimes it is a little like "The Emperors new clothes."
(Sorry, if I offend someone here, that is not the meaning.)

Anyway, this is a place that I have seen so much I like, and sometimes too much of things I dislike.

The SALE´S are (soon) over.

The SALE's are over most places.

Today it has not stopped raining, so it is one of those days when the city is quiet and the shopping malls are packed.

I look forward to warm clothes and new wellies.

My friend and I were out on a "Walk & Talk" trip today, and discovered that the donkey family at Ullandhaug had got a new family member.

(I like the farmland we have, just 10 minutes away by car from the city centre.)
