Lamps for sale!

Hmm... These were soooo... ugly that I just could not resist taking a photograph of them....

I cannot remember the price (the sign behind is the price of the unit), but the lamps were certainly not cheap.

Flats.

These modern flats are central and fairly high up, so they probably have a good view.

But they are quite small and pretty expensive.

I guess that this is the same anywhere, you can pay quite a lot for something small that is central, especially if it has a view.

A friends dog, aptly named "Storm", spins like a little whirlwind when he is pleased to meet people that he knows. A friendly little guy, fast on his feet, he loves to play "catch me if you can"..

Dusavik, a busy place for the oil industry and also an area where many people keep their boats.

The region of Stavanger includes lots of small places/communities.

This is Grødem, Randaberg, with a nice view of the mountains.

As you can see, it was pretty cloudy.

We get many different entertainers in town.

I have seen and heard this man playing his music around Breivatnet a number of times.

Live entertainment always seems to add to the atmosphere around any town.

Valbergtårnet - Open for tourists or anyone else who wants to take a good look from the top.

There was an interesting handmade crafts shop at the bottom of the tower, and it used to be free to go inside. Now the craft shop has gone, and you have to PAY to go inside the tower.

I wanted to share this photograph with you because the colors of the light from the sky reflecting in the windows caught my attention and looked quite beautiful.

Yes, I did my duty as a citizen and voted.....

Our local elections are coming up.

For weeks we have been reading and hearing about all of the promises for change from the different parties...

So simple and so nice!

We were around 35 people last night, who enjoyed good local seafood in a party tent.

We have many people who are very busy bagging in our streets. . . .

They are not Norwegian, but mainly from Bucharest.

I feel sorry for them, but I also wonder what the tourists think when they arrive and see them all over.

It is a boat "Rygerdoktoren" that takes patients from small places such as the outlying islands, straight in to the city centre, where an ambulance is waiting.

Yesterday, I stopped the car and went to see if she was still there...

Grilling season is perhaps nearing its end ?

"Johanne og Broremann" (Johanne and her little brother) was made by Svein Magnus Håvarstein in 1993, and was a present to the city from our biggest local newspaper, "Stavanger Aftenblad".

It is one of my favorite statues in Stavanger.
