KRIA, a beauty from the south.

A beauty from the south, a Colin Archer boat made in Randesundet (near Kristiansand) back in 1983.
The couple had had her for 15 years and enjoyed lots of nice holidays & trips.
I met Astrid and John on Sunday, and I have to say that KRIA looked very well kept.

They told me that there is more info. on "Finn", and yes, the photos are a lot better than my snapshot, so do take a look if you know the site and are interested.

Yes, we have plenty of rain!

Verven

Verven is an area with some offices and plenty of modern flats.
They have an excellent view of boats out on the fjord.
It is really nice walking here and lots to see, like the old wooden boat "Anna af Sand" an old sailing vessel, kept in good condition and still in use.

This is one of the Norwegian Rescue Boats.

They do an important job!

It is a boat "Rygerdoktoren" that takes patients from small places such as the outlying islands, straight in to the city centre, where an ambulance is waiting.

Our city bridge, connecting the centre of the city to the nearby islands.

"Rygerbuen", the ferry to Vassøy, one of the small islands just outside Stavanger city centre.
