We had a very nice stroll this afternoon.

A nice morning in " Number 28."

We have a fashion shop with the name "Different" in Stavanger.

It is unique, and has clothes and art that no other shop in Stavanger are selling.
The owner, Stig Erling Ørland, is also an artist and a writer and has a second gallery with his work.

Congratulations to him for winning, the "Oslo Fashion Award 2013", as the best fashion shop in Norway in 2012!!

(So now you know were you have to go and take a look, ok?)

This week the headlines have been full of the horse meat scandal!
Passing this "clothes" shop, the sign outside is obviously intended to attract attention!!:)

One thing is for sure, - going to work is very very different.
Today I met Merete at the airport,  - a young mum who works out on one of the oil rigs, and who is away from her family and friends for a few weeks at the time..... She is actually working with "ROV`s", that means Remote Operative Vehicle, and works in a submarine.

Funny and what many young mummies are wearing, but perhaps not decorated the same artistic way.

Nice meeting you Merete, and I hope you will have a good time back in Mandal, (further south of Norway.)

(I can`t tell you the story about this house, but perhaps someone else in Stavanger recognize it.
Anyway, we have had a foggy rainy day, so I am just putting out an image with the BLUE sky that I have missed.)

There are beautiful places to see, even like here from the bus window on the way from the airport in to the city centre.
This is Hafrsfjord, a place that has an important role in Norwegian history.
The "Battle of Hafrsfjord" is famous and took place here.

Some people like jogging. I prefer a nice walk.

This week is going to be quiet.

Less people around due to the school winter holiday.
Many families have gone to their cottages, are visiting friends or family. Some have gone abroad....
Some are relaxing at home.

HAPPY FASTELAVEN!

Fastelaven is celebrated 7 weeks before Easter Sunday or on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday.
We celebrate by eating FASTELAVENSBOLLER, a sweet roll filled with whipped cream custard and jam, and sprinkled with icing sugar.

Yesterday my friend and I had a nice walk in the afternoon before I started work.
