LEAP DAY .

It is LEAP DAY today.
The day when a woman can propose to a man.

It only happens on February 29th.
And it is four years until next time, so FACE the day and do it if you want:)

KAMPEN.

This is the church KAMPEN, located in Kampen parish here in Stavanger.
It was built back in 1957, and the architect was T. Bryne.

The image was taken a few days back when we had snow.
Today it is cold, no snow, but a bright sunny day and BLUE sky.

TEA IN THE SKY ....

What a nice thing to do on a Saturday afternoon!

Afternoon Tea up on the top floor at the new CLARION HOTEL AIR.

We loved it, - also including the scones and the glass of Champagne!

Excellent service by Natalia & the people working on the 10th. floor.

And the view from the tallest building in Sola was just fantastic!

SANDER, the judo player.

Today I met SANDER KNUTSEN.

He is a 17 year old sportsman from Sandnes, who is playing JUDO for the Norwegian Judo Federation.

Tomorrow he will be representing Norway at the ESTONIAN OPEN at TARTU.

It was very nice meeting you Sander!
I hope you do well, and also have a really good time and perhaps find new friends at the tournament this weekend.

I had to smile when you said that you played football for some years, but when you finished your career as a football player, you were as good as when you started!  It showed your good sense of humour!

We got a bit of snow again today.

Not as planned...

There should have been a new conference hotel built just here, but the company changed their mind.
The land is owned by the council, so there will now be flats or houses instead.
Time will show.

That is what many of us need here in Norway, so SALMON for dinner is one of my favourite dishes.

Wind energy.

From the window up in the plane, not that far from the airport, I suddenly saw something I have not seen before.

Well, I have seen it in the newspapers, but I can´t say that I had read more than the heading.

When the winter, the snow and the cold make us long for a break in the sun....

Those of us who do not have the opportunity to spend months abroad, look for cheap flights to a warmer place.

This year my friend and I spent a week on the island Gran Canaria.

Seven days without a drop of rain, just relaxing and exploring parts of the island.

It was worth every penny, and it is good for the body as well as the soul.

The number of Norwegians travelling abroad has increased substantially over the years, but this is now probably on the decline again due to the current economic situation.
