ORANGE

To me ORANGE is a happy colour.
When I saw this garden at Godalen, I just had to take a photo and show you.

Garden centres are open.

We are lucky to have several good garden centres in and outside Stavanger.
Easter is a good time to start preparing the garden for a new season.

Today was COLD again, with a bit of wind, plus a bit of
rain and snow in the air....

I bought herbs, colourful plants are next on my wish list....

An allotment garden.

This is what is behind the trees. ( See yesterdays posting)
I will recommend to all of you who like gardening or just to look at something pretty, go and take a look at allotment gardens, surrounded with flowers, trees, vegetables and fruits. It is not that far from the city centre, and it is a nice, well kept place with the perfect view down to the fjord. Friendly people "living" there. It was a pure pleasure to look around.

From April to the end of September, the cafe is also open on Sundays from 12 to 16.

The lady who you see here, told me that her husband came home with a key to this place 50 years ago, and she said that she will never ever sell the place.
I can understand why she said that.
A paradise on earth.

STRØMVIK is the name of this place. 44 gardens, and the smallest allotment area in Stavanger.

LILOCERIS LILII .

They might have had a fun and happy time out in our garden... also eating quite a bit of our Lilies, but it will not last for much longer!
I have found out that their names are LILOCERIS LILII, and I have found out how to get rid of them, - thanks to google!
It is soon going to be action time!

Yesterday we had a nice temperature, and a bit of sun, but also heavy thunder, heavy showers and even some hail.

Garden centre

Yesterday the Stavanger area had the highest temperature in Norway!

+23C

It was fantastic, and today it is going to be a sunny SUNday.

Gardening time.

This is an image taken at Hove Plantesalg, a populare garden centre, south of Stavanger, and a bit outside Sandnes.

They have a popular park with animals and birds, that is worth visiting. Most kids LOVE the place.

The people living here...

Some people make their garden more personal than others.
I guess these might be the people who are living on the other side of the little fence.

Garden life.

Out in the garden this morning.
A sign that summer has not quite given up yet?
A nice day today.
