I started work 6AM this morning, so my husband had to raise the flag himself.
It has been a grey day, but now the sun is shining.
Off to see some friends tonight.
Anyway, I will just wish all Norwegians wherever you are, a very Happy "17.MAI"
And the same to all of you who are visiting or staying in Norway.
Celebrate and have fun!

Russ,- this time on a roundabout.
More russ (Pupils who celebrate 13 years of school).
This time, the red ones. They were out on a roundabout today trying to get attention with a poster saying. …. if you want the exams "later" honk your horn. And of course they got the attention that they were after, and of course it was noisy with all the cars……
You can see more RUSS if you click on the label at the end of this posting.

The Goldsmiths Doll.
Most of us who are out with cameras remember to look UP, but sometimes it is also important to remember to look DOWN as well….. This I saw at a goldsmiths through a low window at street level.
The doll was "busy working", and I guess there must be many children who have seen it long before I stopped.

Leif og kompisane…..
The shopping mall KVADRAT celebrated 30 years in business today.
There were lots of special offers, even shops with 30% off, so you can imagine the number of people who turned up.
This is an old band, "Leif and kompisane" who gave a concert.
If you want to hear what our dialect sounds like, click on the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY8W0f28d2w&feature=kp
The band is a rock band from Stavanger.

The green door....
When I saw this door - a lift door at the University area I could not really translate the text, but to me the text and the color gave some sort of an optimistic feeling.
Perhaps "This is elevating" or "This is uplifting" would be an ok translation?
Thanks for the link SimTech....

RUSS
ANNETTE from Trondheim was one of many thousand RUSS from all over Norway, who celebrated finishing 13 years of school at Kongeparken, with lots of partying, concerts and music the whole weekend! On her card was written: "Probably the most charming russ ever!"
She enjoyed meeting up with a friend from Sandnes too, so she had really enjoyed her weekend away.
Best of luck with the exams and more celebrating!

Norwegian tomatoes.
There are flags flying on poles most places because of May day.
This image is from yesterdays shopping trip.
For years there have been discussions as to whether Norwegian produced tomatoes are better than imported tomatoes, and also if ecological food is healthier than other food.
What do you think?
