For the last few days we have had an ongoing fire in the region close to Stavanger.
A huge area of woods up in the mountains took fire, and it threatened houses as well as holiday cottages.
The fire brigade and lots of other people were involved in the work to put out the fire, and helicopters were also used.

I have google translated something from the newspaper here.

Click on the images ( from the news) and you will see more photos.

My photo is taken from the road close to the airport, a very long distance away, but it was easy to see and some said they could smell the fire even in the city of Stavanger.

Reminds me of southside Virginia when the peat bogs in the Great Dismal Swamp catch fire and you can taste the smoke as far away as the Outer Banks in North Carolina.

That is bad to have those fires, you have a lot of woods, must be difficult to put it out. We have a lack of rain too here and had some heath fires.

I hope not cause victims, that are only material losses.
A kiss.
