Why do some people have a strong need to put their signature on walls like here?

Sad to see.

Sometimes it is just sad to see how some people "decorate" our city.

Looking up, I saw this window on a corner.

This is a Norwegian text that I think I will not translate......

Just before half past three this morning, the police saw a young couple, both age 23, writing on the mall Magasin Blaa......


Ibsen is a well known Norwegian writer, but now those who wrote his famous words ( in Swedish! ) have had a stop at the police station and I guess will get a fine big enough to remember for a while.

Unfortunately, this is becoming more and more common and can be very costly for the owners.

An old villa that I like.

Unfortunately it is not in a good location, being next to a busy road and a large shop.

Another brick wall, that someone could not manage to pass without signing it.

I guess the people doing this have used several spray boxes with colors.

This used to be a little kiosk, and there used to be many kiosks like this around town. Kiosks have pretty much all disappeared as they could not compete with the big shops.

Now this one is just a canvas for graffiti and stands in an area where taxi drivers often park while waiting for jobs.

I see that in many other countries, little kiosks like this manage to survive.

He is busy cleaning / repainting walls all over the Stavanger area.

He told me that he used only 1000 liter paint AND chemicals, a bit less than the year before.

Just like me he photograph the tagging, and I guess he will manage to see that some walls have been done by the same person.

I guess our city would have looked very different, without the work he do.

REBEL has become as common as OLGA on walls and buildings, all over the city.

This wall will probably cost quite a bit of our tax money to put back to normal again!

Shop owners and people living in the city centre must spend quite a lot of money, as well as time, to get rid of these "messages"!!
