A new book.

As a child, what did YOU collect?

Today these two women Aslaug Ravndal Gilje and Mimi Britt Vindenes could present their brand new book, about "glansbilder"( in Norwegian ), "Printed Scraps" (I guess that is perhaps the correct English translation).
It was launched at the Children's Museum together with family, friends and other invited guests, including the press.

Mimi has been on both local and National Radio, and tomorrow you can see Aslaug on Breakfast TV (well, if you happen to live in Norway).

The book is wonderful, and I guess it will bring back childhood memories to many people.
One day, it might be translated to English.

Seriously, I used to collect snakes in shoe boxes which I kept under my bed until my mother, one day, discovered them. A family friend--I always wondered if my mother put him up to it--then interested me in stamps. ;-)

I used to collect dolls, but my daughter collected caterpillars in her jewelry box. Unbeknownst to her mom.....

I collected anything that I could wrap around a crochet hook or knitting needle. I worked with everything in addition to yarn. I saved every piece of string I found. :)
