Next to the Canning Museum in Old Stavanger, you
can visit (for free) a very interesting house.
It is a house where people have been living for generations. A house that now is a museum and shows a working class home, decorated with furniture and bits and pieces that were common back in the 1950's and 1960's.
This is one of the bedrooms, that is very close to the narrow roads between the houses.
A couple from the cruise ship that I spoke to, said that the kitchen upstairs was very similar to the ones that they had when they were children, and they took so many pictures that there will be plenty of images to show friends and family back in England.
Anyway, the place also has a nice cafe, and you can choose to sit in the old living room or outside in the garden.
