The biggest cruise ship I have seen so far this year, is VENTURA.
It was here yesterday from 07.30 to 18.00. It was a day with a bit of sunshine,- and too much rain.
There is a lot of security around these ships I was told. Also fantastic opportunities to go to different restaurants, shows etc.

Take a look at: http://www.pocruises.com/Cruise-Ships/Ventura/Ship-Overview/

Yes, Ventura is large! She is 116,000 tons. She is just a little smaller than our 140,000 tons Freedom of the Seas where we live half of each year.

We were in Stavanger aboard Splendour of the Seas for several seasons some years ago. Back then, the now-much-smaller Splendour looked very large in Stavanger!

Very nice image!

Thanks Lois for your information.
Next time you come to Stavanger, I will meet you here at the gate, and give you a guided tour in the city!:)

It looks plenty big! I didn't know cruise ships even stopped in Stavenger. :$ But I guess it's good for the local economy.

PS: You can get lessons at the knitters cafe, but it's more a place for people to come and hang out and knit together. Most knitters don't mind giving tips and advice to others. :)

Cruise ships like this look so top heavy. It is a miracle that they don't tip over.

My, that's a big one! Here, we get as many as 16 of them a day, tens of thousands of tourists, and some bad weather to welcome them today
