If you click on "labels-trees" under this text, you will see the same tree taken from the other side at other times of the year.
To the left is the Culture House with the cinema, library, cafés etc.
That is where I am off to this evening to watch a film......
This shot was taken yesterday afternoon, around 16:15.

Very nice early evening shot. The tree is very nicely shaped. It is a treat to see the tree in different seasons.

How lovely to see the tree in all its different clothes. It looks jolly cold there from the way everyone is hunched up.
(Tee hee, that's interesting - the word verification thingy for me is 'fierslit' How appropriate!)

The sky makes this look so inviting. Was the film good?

Back home again, and yes I enjoyed the film:"It`s complicated"
Very cold outside. -12C, but the snow is pretty and the decorations too.

I recognized the tree even from the other side: you are closing the year with some spectacular pictures!
I guess a lot of movies seem better with -12C outside...
Have a happy New Year!

Each year Newacstle receives a Christmas tree from the people of Bergen ( one of our twin cities) ; the Mayor of Bergen, Mr Gunnar Bakke, was here on 26th November to switch on the lights. Happy New year to you and your family, Charles
