The Beauty of Decay is what I found one day when I used my camera in a very old house in the centre of Stavanger.
The peeling wallpaper layers still had some strong colors and formed quite an interesting mixture of patterns.
So why do I choose to share this with you today? The answer is simple, people from all over the world have put up images on the theme "The Beauty of Decay".

It is quite charming, Gunn.
Interesting mosaic of colors.
It is always interesting to see a transformation by the various wallpapers on a wall.
It looks completely painterly in its decay, beautiful old layers and great find!
Good interpretation. I'm glad I don't have to peel the layers - best to let nature take its course.
Layer above layer, decay above decay...:)
Wow, this is fantastic! Not sure I would want it at home, but this wallpaper is absolutely striking. And the background isn´t bad either.
By the way, I might be organising some guided photo tours for tourists soon...
