We have never had so many cruise ships arriving in Stavanger before.
Well, this is one leaving.
Do you see the people at the top?
I have only been on a 3 days cruise from Oslo to Kiel (Germany)
Have you tried a cruise holiday? If yes, where did you go??

Click on "cruise ships" after labels, and you will see many more.

Beautiful!

I am recognizing ships I know by seeing just little bits of them on your blog. It is such fun to see they are there in Livorno as part of their itinerary. Empress used to be Empress of the Seas and before that Nordic Empress. She was acquired by Royal Caribbean when they bought Admiral Cruises and Nordic Empress was still under construction for that company. Empress was transferred from Royal Caribbean to subsidiary Pullmantur about four years ago. I remember Empress with great fondness. She has one of the most beautiful centrum areas of all ships I've seen. The dining room is aft with walls of glass to provide gorgeous views for diners.

So sorry I am rambling....

All the best,
Lois

I have never been on one of these huge ocean-going cruise ships, but I have been on smaller river cruise ships four or five times before. And, next week I will cruise from Nuremberg to Trier on the Main-Moselle-Rhine. Shhhh, don't let anyone know.

These are pretty amazing. Never been in one that big.

Here in Leeds we only have small barges on the canal, nothing like these ships. I have never been on a cruise, unless you count being in the North sea in bad weather on a destroyer of the the Royal Navy back in my military days.

Plenty of cruise ships visit Sydney, sadly I only watch with envy.

Yes, once and I hated every second of it.

I think these hyperboats are useful only for tourists!
I prefer the ordinary, lovely shaped boats.
I have been many times onboard sailboats and motorboats,Greece is a nautical country.
Have a nice weekend.

Well, I was a purser on one of them for a few months, in the Med, a very long time ago, but that doesn't really count, doesn't it.
My favorite 'kind of' cruise was the few times I took the ferry from Venice to Izmir and back, through the Canal of Corinth. Wonderful trips!!!

I see a lot of these ships and I am fascinated by their size, but I have never tried a cruise...

They are amazing to look at and ponder on the enormous size and dynamics of them Gunn, but truly for me that's way too many people floating on the water all together, it's just not natural haha!
