NOKAS is the name of the famous robbery that took place in Stavanger in 2004. A policeman was killed during the robbery, and of course his family as well as people who worked for Nokas might have negative thoughts about the making of this film. Personally I feel that this is Norways biggest robbery and a part of our history....
Anyway, today I had the opportunity to be there at the shoot and experience something totally new to me. They have to be so organized, down to every minute detail. There were Danish, Swedish as well as English speaking people working on the film. Lots of waiting around, rain and passers by who were in and out of shops, shootings and action. I already look forward to see the final result at the cinema, hopefully in August. One thing is for sure; making a film is not an easy job!

This is not an event that I know about, so thanks for the information.

Technical question: what application did you use to make this mosaic? I really like the visual effect.

I used Photoshop CS3. But I resized and placed the images manually.
Normally i try to show just one photo, but I found it too difficult this time, so I made a postcard.

I'm really curious to see the outcome. A very nice mosaic, it looks like a poster for the movie!

It is exciting to be on the set of a movie and watch all the action of cast and crew. In 1970 we stumbled across a film shoot at Bern airport when we stepped out of our small plane. One of the crew came over and asked us to be 'extras'. We had to pretend to be waiting for a plane while actor Marshall Thompson did his dialogue with another actor in front of us.
You've created a great mosaic. I'd love to see the finished film.

It is great fun to watch all of this happening! Maybe you can wrangle your way in to see them cut and splice when they get done shooting.

Nice set of photos, Gunn!

Yes, it really is a different experience. I played once a greek speaking Saint Peter in a documentary about christians in Turkey, a Christmas special on turkish tv. Took a week to film 86 seconds!

Looks like an exciting time to watch them make a movie! Several years ago, Arnold Schwarzenegger was in St. Paul and we went to watch him make a few movie scenes on the street!

Some people will be upset, but that always happens. Nice collage. I will be looking to watch this movie sometime in the future.
