Rudolf Steiner school.

All the years since I left school I have never ever missed or even thought about the school bell!
Seriously it was loud, noisy and out of tune....

Passing this little school ( Rudolf Steiner) I heard this amazing little new sound from what was probably a small hand held, or a tiny bell held between a thumb and finger?. It was like music to my ear......

The schools here started their one week winter holiday today.
We have had a nice day with sunshine, no snow, but there is plenty of snow up in the mountains and lots of other places around in Norway.

Your post suddenly reminded me of the air raid siren we had on the edge of my elementary school's property. Once in a great while there would be a test and the siren would go off. Oh my gosh! What a noise! Everybody would cover their ears until the test was over.

A rather unusual domed element to the school, though I imagine it might be common for the architecture there.

That domed roof is pretty cool.

Lovely architecture - goes well with civilised bells.
