I could have taken a picture to show you how crowded it was at the VINMONOPOLET today, but I decided not to risk it. Some people might have been really irritated about it!?

Anyway, this is were we have to go to buy alcohol. It is owned by the state, and yes wine etc. is more expensive here in Norway than other places in Europe.

A challenge indeed. Nevertheless, the advantages of not making alcohol easily available might win.

Am with hot black tea and lemon, cough, cough, please have a good Sunday.

Yep, I have to agree to Robert, it's a good thing to make booze hard to get. Just thinking of British or Irish teenagers here, the many many deaths caused by alcohol.

Your're right it is very expensive in Norway. We didn't drink a drop of alcohol during our holiday. But it is an effective way to slow down the consumption.

Great image. I'm quite aware of the Norwegian system for alcohol purchases. I'm also very aware of "booze runs to Sweden." ;)
