This is typical Norwegian......
Do you know what it is?
Have a guess.

THE DAY AFTER:
Hei Many of you had really good answers to what this food was. It is "lapper", a type of a thick and small pancake with "Brunost" or "Brown cheese" on the top.
Next time you buy cheese you might find/try some at your shop.

I think I would agree with Jennyfreckles ... it looks like a pancake of some kind with a type of cheese.

Leif gave it away. Google takes all the fun out of guessing games!

I can make out the pancake, but would also have to guess a smoked cheese of some kind on top. Is there a little bit of sausage poking out on the top, or is it just more pancake? Either way, I am game for a taste. : )

I don't think I would have thought to pair pancake and cheese, but I just may have to try it now:)

Not sure if we'll be able to find norwegian cheese here, but we'll definitely try it with catalan cheese!
