If you enlarge this photo, you can see what I saw this afternoon when I was out walking together with a couple of friends..... Two "mad vikings" who were out in the ice cold water!!!
I do like the snow, I think it makes the landscape look very clean and beautiful, but the icy pavements and roads make me look forward to warmer days.

I agree on the visual benefits of snow. But, I sure won't follow the mad Vikings into the water!!! Crazy!! I'm glad you have more sense -:)

Some people are just plain crazy! The epithet, "mad," suits them perfectly! :-)

Wonderful shot... even though it gives me chills.

I like a snow covered landscape too. Is there a lunatic asylum near where you live? Maybe those two "Vikings" were escapees:)

Are those two vikings or polar bears? Hilsen fran Hagen

I like the contrast of people all bundled up and the two crazy swimmers :D

We don't get the snow but we have many winter bathers. I don't think that our waters are much warmer than yours now...

Crazy crazy ! Looking at what the others are wearing gives an idea of how cold it really is !!!

Good idea, but only after spending a loooong time in a finnish sauna, a really hot one.

I find snow on beaches really fascinating and this is a great example of what I've never seen.
