From Germany.

This is Emma, the little dog, and the couple she lives a happy life together with.
They are from Wuppertal in Germany.
The day that I met them, they had been staying near the beach for the night and had breakfast when I was starting the morning  walk with our dog. We had a chat and I was told that they had already been to the Pulpit Rock and then off to take a look at Stavanger city before heading further north on the west coast.
Nice meeting you, and I will always remember the famous thing you told me about your hometown.

New friends.

Our big dog made a new friend in town today.
Beautiful to watch.
We met the girl later in town, and our dog was very happy to see her again!

Don´t worry be happy.

He (or she) was more or less hanging out of the car window in the parking area.
Look at the face.
"Don´t worry be happy" ... springs to mind.

Today I am happy for a sunny warm day!
Probably the warmest day so far this year.
+18C, and it feels good for body and soul.

Beach life

This is Elisabeth Nessler and Bjørn Sola together with their two dogs.
Not a common thing to see, a Norwegian guy wearing a kilt (on yet another snowy day!)
He told me that he actually had five kilts...
So perhaps he will inspire more Norwegian men to dress the same way?
Great to see a man who is man enough to dress just the way HE likes.

Together with a good friend I was out walking on the beach, before celebrating "International Women's Day" with some nice food at the hotel on the beach.

Have a nice evening, everyone!

Hello again.

Hello again.

The Danish nurse and her dog are still living in Norway.
I have a photo of them on the blog from August 2015.
Mollie is now 11 years old, and she was happy to be in town with Louise.

Nice meeting you again.

Thomas and his dog.

Two good friends.
This is THOMAS ASKE BERGE and his cute and energetic Jack Russell Terrier.
Thomas is both an actor and filmmaker. He studied to become an actor in New York.
Now he is busy with film production back in Norway.
Nice meeting you both.

A bit of snow.

A bit of snow last night.
So today there were paw prints to see on the walk in the woods.

GUNDA

GUNDA is a friendly and cute dog, belonging to one of the sales people of the street magazine, ASFALT.
You might have seen her in town.
Yesterday she was probably the most photographed dog in town, she was out with the owner who was selling ASFALT's baking book outside the Culture House at Arnageren.

Quaietly waiting

He (or perhaps she) was quietly waiting for the owner who perhaps was one of all the people at the pharmacy yesterday.

Good to have a good dog friend!

Anyway, it is time for trying to avoid the flu, so keep warm and here in Norway it is quite normal to take a spoon of cod liver oil each day during the autumn / winter season.

A new nice shop in Kirkegaten.

One of my favourite shops in Oslo, has arrived in Stavanger too!
Extra plus for the dog friendly policy!
And the welcoming sign outside.

You will find it in Kirkegaten.

Light evenings.

Mainly grey days over here in the Stavanger area.
But wow, what a surprise with sunshine yesterday afternoon/evening!
We went for a walk on the beach yesterday evening.
Our dog doesn't bother so much about the weather. Here she is taking an overview out over the North Sea on the beach at Sola.

The time was just after 22.00 when this photo was taken. Still light. The maximum daytime temperature yesterday was around +14C

Motion.

The city daily photo bloggers is a community that has a "theme day" on the 1st of each month.
July has the theme "motion", so I decided to put out an image of our four legged family member.
She is an active girl and keeps us out walking every single day, no matter what the weather is like.
If you click on this link, you can see the other theme day photos.

Pet XL and Igroom Spa.

Pet XL is the name of a new shop that opened their doors this week at Forus.
It was started by some enthusiasts who are aiming to open several more shops in other Norwegian cities.

The shop is huge, and I will definitely be back for some shopping.

What I thought was great was the fact that they had included a spa for dogs, and will have a vet there too.

The owner of the Igroom Spa had a cute customer that looked like it was just a pleasure to be there.

I was a bit surprised this morning by the amount of snow this late in April.

RUSS

If you google "RUSS and NORWAY" you will find several images of people dressed in RED or BLUE clothes, decorated and looking quite strange to people who do not know what is going on.

Young people have started celebrating finishing their 13 years at school, that is the reason.

Some German tourists I met in town thought they were out demonstrating, but they are just having a good time at school and perhaps even more so outside the school.

These two young students Rut Elise and Katarina were out with the dogs.
They will be at the big RUSS event at KONGEPARKEN soon together with Russ from all over the country!

HAVE FUN!

A tiny little dog.

A tiny Tsjekkian rat dog, or Prazsky Krysrarik as I found out they are also named.
