Narrow entry & exit.

Narrow entry & exit.
Some parking places are worse than others.
This is one I don't like.

Relax it is Christmas time!

Not only cars, but also this chair was parked in the city centre.
We have lazy days here at home, with a mixture of both Norwegian and British Christmas traditions .
Outside, the rain is pouring down.
I think even our dog wants to delay her long walk today.

Thanks for the artistic work!

I just love the colourful and artistic work here on the very GREY part of the airport.

Thanks to the Portoguese artist, Diogo Machado, and also to Nuart and Avinor!

Please follow the link for further information.

A clear message.

This is a clear message to all of us who understand the dialect here in Stavanger.
Simply translated; it tells you: If you park here, it is just walking distances to everything that you need.

Parking in Sandnes.

Parking in Sandnes.
Our nearest neighbouring city.

(An image taken a few days back.
News of TODAY you can find on "Stavanger Daily Photo" on Facebook.)

A very rainy Midsummer Celebration in the Stavanger Region..

It is Midsummer's Eve.

We have some good food and cold drinks on the table soon.

Outside it is like this: http://pent.no/forecast/Stavanger;58.96530;5.71796

It is probably as empty as this image shows in some of the parking areas in town.

School holidays have started and many people have gone on holiday or away for the weekend.

I hope YOU are just where you want to be to celebrate Midsummer's Eve or
St.Hans, as we call it.

Jorenholmen.

The parking area Jorenholmen has got some nice artistic work outside.
I am not sure who the artist is, but it was written/signed Nimi and
rh74 on the wall.

Shelters.

The sign "TILFLUKTSROM" means shelter.

I guess that we have several shelters around in the city.
So in case of a war, -  that is where to go.

Well, in normal daily life, this is also the door that leads down to a big parking area.

Parking.

If you think it is cheap parking in Stavanger, you are wrong.
I thought it was free parking for handicapped, but NOT here.

Crazy car.

We have had a tiny bit of sunshine, but mostly it has been pouring down with lots of rain today!
My car has been so dirty that it has been embarrassing, but when I saw this I realised that there are much stranger cars to look at out on the road. (Wish I had seen the driver. He or she must have a crazy sense of humour.)

Maybe I will translate what is written on the car, if nobody figures it out via google translate.

A mural outside fairly new flats.

A mural perhaps part of NUART or just contemporary art, -seen at what we call Østre Bydel, a part of Stavanger that has been turned into an urban and trendy area.

Is Grandma in town?

Is Grandma in town??
I LOVE these cute Italian cars, and when I saw this one with "Nonna" (Italian for Grandma) written on it, I just had to share the beauty with you.
Good parking in a tight space.

SMART BIKE TECHNOLOGY

Smart Bike technology has arrived in town.
Using El- bikes is a good way to come around and see different places.

(I have never rented an el-bike, but I have hired ordinary bikes in Denmark, Italy and Japan.)

Blue reflection.

No, it is not blue blood.
Just what I saw at the parking area very early this morning.
Reflection in the water.

We had really heavy showers last night and this morning.
Some roads were so bad that people and equipment were out working hard to pump the water away.

Sunny now and +17C

Ordnung muss sein.

Nothing wrong with German tourists.

I just find it amusing that they often seems to have such huge campers that are always so very clean, as if they have come straight from the showroom.

I have started to count the days until my little holiday, a week in the southern part of Europe, where the SUN is shining for more than a few hours a week, and the temperature is guarantied higher then +15 C .....

Where are you dreaming of / going on holiday ?

Moody image.

Perhaps a bit moody this image?
I just felt for it today....

Parking space for PER.

I think the employe has made this very clear.
This is a parking spot ONLY for PER.
