A very rainy Midsummer Celebration in the Stavanger Region..

It is Midsummer's Eve.

We have some good food and cold drinks on the table soon.

School holidays have started and many people have gone on holiday or away for the weekend.

I am not sure who the artist is, but it was written/signed Nimi and
rh74 on the wall.

The sign "TILFLUKTSROM" means shelter.

I guess that we have several shelters around in the city.
So in case of a war, -  that is where to go.

Well, in normal daily life, this is also the door that leads down to a big parking area.

If you think it is cheap parking in Stavanger, you are wrong.
I thought it was free parking for handicapped, but NOT here.

Crazy car.

We have had a tiny bit of sunshine, but mostly it has been pouring down with lots of rain today!
My car has been so dirty that it has been embarrassing, but when I saw this I realised that there are much stranger cars to look at out on the road. (Wish I had seen the driver. He or she must have a crazy sense of humour.)

Smart Bike technology has arrived in town.
Using El- bikes is a good way to come around and see different places.

(I have never rented an el-bike, but I have hired ordinary bikes in Denmark, Italy and Japan.)

We had really heavy showers last night and this morning.
Some roads were so bad that people and equipment were out working hard to pump the water away.

I just find it amusing that they often seems to have such huge campers that are always so very clean, as if they have come straight from the showroom.

I have started to count the days until my little holiday, a week in the southern part of Europe, where the SUN is shining for more than a few hours a week, and the temperature is guarantied higher then +15 C .....
