WHY ?

Why do some Norwegians paint a Norwegian flag on the wall ?

Why do some go to Spain, Greece etc. and sit at a restaurant with a Norwegian flag on the table?
And why is it important to even put up a flag on the balcony at hotels when on holiday?

Is it just pride?

I do not think it is a pride, but I even do not know why...

Same reason Americans do, I suppose. Better than graffiti, though. :-)

Flags are very important symbols. I believe that it is pride in one's country.

It must be pride. In the USA, display of the flag is quite common.

Bonjour,

Très jolie capture photographique... L'emblème du pays était très important autrefois dans le coeur de mes grands-parents. Il représente nos origines.

Gros bisous ♡

It have scored a question :)
They maybe have a big nationality of identity, but still I don't understand.
I would understand, if there would be football games etc., But otherwise ... It's a bit foolish.

Flags are intended exactly for this. It is strange that some do not like it...

Pride, I'd say. It's a great flag design.

I think you have quite an attractive flag. No reason not to show it off!

It's a better flag than many, as are the people!
