It takes 8 hours with the train between Oslo and Stavanger.

Hopefully comfortable, but by the looks of the train, that's to be expected.
Looks like a smooth ride.
That's a long ride. Norway trains are very comfortable, I tried once last year from airport to the city in Oslo. Enjoy.
