Olga and Max arrived in Stavanger, just when the parade happened.
They are from Siberia, Russia, and where looking for information on how to get to the Pulpit Rock area.
I hope the Rail way station staff could provide them with the information they needed.
Most shops etc. had closed early because of the ceremony in the city centre.
Anyway, it has not been so bright and sunny until this afternoon/evening, but it might be nice the rest of the week.... and that is nice for them and everyone else here in Stavanger.
We have a big event in front of us; The Tall Ships Race starts tomorrow, and Olga and Max will enter as crew on one of the Russian ships.

Great portrait Gunn! I do hope everything will somehow return to "normal". It is always so difficult.
I quite envy Olga and Max, to crew a tall ship must be quite something.
Such very happy people! I hope you will post pictures of the tall ships. Will the Christian Radich be there?
Chriswtian Radich will be here, and I will hopefully take some photos.
In the mean time you will find some photos I took for this blog in September and October 2010.
I like this photograph of two adventurous young people at this time in your country, Gunn. It is all so very hard to understand, and to be able to look ahead at the young eases that somewhat.
I would like to see more images of this year's tall ships.
Oh, the tall ships. Certainly not the same ones that were in Duluth, Minnesota a few weeks ago, but I'd love to see the ones in your waters. Please do post them!!
It is encouraging to see such young happy people Gunn, and like everyone I am very much looking forward to seeing the tall ships.
They look like some happy Russians from Siberia! But a longgg way from home for them!
They are a nice-looking pair. I hope the tall ships event can help return Norway to as normal a life as is possible at the moment.
I would really like to be there!
Great photo....love the smiles and the angle of the shot!
Hi,
That's me on the photo:)) My name is Maxim, I'm from Siberia. This summer I'm organizing a great event for everybody, worldwide free screening of the most inspiring short films "Summer Night. Dream. Freedom. Love." The idea of project is to inspire people to realize their dreams. I want to show the films about these three big concepts to people around the world. All screenings will be on 11 p.m. local time, 14 of July, in parks or open-air places, free for entrance. The project is non-profit and is not connected with any political or religious organization. It's like flash mob with great meaning. You can find more information at
www.summer-night.org. I don't know how many cities will participate at the end, but anyway it will be great. For this moment there are 12 cities that will screen the film.
I'm looking for the people who can be interested in organizing of the screening in their cities. If you are interested, please write me.
Sincerely,
Maxim
