In Stavanger the children finished school on June 21st. and are on holiday until August 22nd
Two months are more than what most parents are able to take as holiday, - so for many families it can be quite a challenge to find someone to look after the children when the parents are at work.

Gee, we had 3 months off in the summer when we were kids. We always had projects to do either for the family or something educational. We had plenty of time to play, too. :)

It's the same problem here at Christmas Gunn, that's when the long school break is here, through the year it's only two weeks at a time!

When I was a child, my parents opened the door at eight and said "Be back at six." It is too bad that the world is now a more dangerous place.

I think it's the same everywhere. That's what grandparents and summer camps are good for. :)

It is almost the same here, parents are going crazy in this period and grandparents are drafted in service!
