Tonight we celebrate "Midsummernight". For us it means BBQ and bonfires.
Click on the word after labels, under this text and you will see what I mean.

This is one of our Poppy flowers. Fascinating details inside, and so colorful!

We just hope we will have real summer soon.

How do you celebrate Midsummernight?

Pretty, pretty colors! I love the fuzzy texture too!

So do we, bonfires, fireworks, the whole shebang. Tomorrow is a holiday here, but as I will be getting up at 6 to go to work...

Beautiful!

Great, dramatic colors. Midsummer? No celebrations here. We have Independence Day coming up in a week or so, on the Fourth of July, and that is the big celebration of the summer.

Incredible macro. Wish we had a celebration for the solstice. Long days make me happy. Conversely, short days bring on the blues.

Lovely macro work Gunn, and your picture from Midsummer night is very ethereal looking, very mystical for such a night I think.
