On my way home tonight I noticed lots of activity on and around the busy roundabouts outside Rogaland Theatre. The politicians have "found" some money to spend on colorful flowers to decorate the area. Nice to have something pretty to look at when we are sitting in a car, stuck in queue.

For further info. in Norwegian, see the local newspapers article.

This photo was taken at 22.10.
Even though it was cloudy and raining, you can see how light it is here in the evenings at this time of the year.

That is very light for that time of evening. It's been getting dark very early here on the other side of the Earth.

Nice. I think we need some beauty in our cities, and flowers are a good investment in my opinion.

They look lovely and I'm sure brighten up your day - oh! to have daylight at that time of night!

Interesting to see just how light it is. Of course here (in Oz) it's getting dark by just after 5pm, but thankfully not too cold in Perth yet.

Wow - what a great idea. You guys must get enough rain to make it worth while. I thought first it was somebody's beautiful yard....

Stavanger er en vakker by. Veldig godt å høre at det bevilges penger for å gjøre den enda vakrere.
Et flott bilde og en lekker blog. Bravo!

very cool. Did you take this shot from your car?

No, the car was parked. They were very busy, and my little camera had to do, so it is not as sharp as I would have wished.
