It is time to put the winter wheels on the car.
This type of tyre is called "piggdekk", which means spiked tyre.
It is always very chaotic when snow or ice arrive.
We should all use winter tyres at this time of the year.
"Piggdekk" can be used from November 1. until the first Sunday after Easter.
Some people choose to use "all year round tyres" which do not have the spikes but are still better than normal summer tyres.

All these reminders that fall is leaving and winter is coming! Sigh.

Even though you might not want a long winter, I am looking forward to seeing some white photos!

Hi gunn,
thanks for your comment a few days ago.
Charlottenburg Palace is my favorite place in Berlin. I go there so often I can. I cant't get enough from this place. The Palace Garden is so beautiful and so large. You need more than 1 time to see all...including the castle inside. My grandma go with me in a stroller... I was 3 years old. This is over 40 years ago.

Greetings from the cold Berlin:-)

Winter tires with studs were used in Ontario, Canada, decades ago but the government outlawed them because they believed they were damaging the highway pavement.

Rarely seen here, if not for a trip to some mountain location in the deep of winter.
