E-type Jaguar.

This is just a snapshot taken on the E39, heading north, close to the junction to Kvadrat/Sandnes.
It was a beauty out on the road. "I am pretty sure it is an E-type Jaguar" my husband said.
Perhaps he is right. One thing is for sure, now is the time to get them out on the road.... no rain the next few days.

Løye fra London.

"Løye fra London" directly translated "Fun from London,"
was the title of yesterdays English Comedy Evening at KINOKINO in Sandnes.
(Our neighbouring city south of Stavanger, only 17 minutes away by train.)
Here you see Dana Alexander in action.
An evening with English speaking stand-up comedians and an audience from several European countries.
I have been told that there will be more "Fun from London" sessions in the spring of 2017.

Where Winds Are Gaining Speed.

This is contemporary art seen at Hå Gamle Prestegård.
(Looking out the window now, reminds me of this..... It is grey and soon it will start raining.)
I was lucky to attend a guided tour when I saw this, so I learned about the work and the thoughts behind the art.
The artist BEILI LIU from China, now living and working in the USA had another installation at the same place five years ago. This time she is showing how she found the landscape here, and to me it is close to real and quite impressive, also the way it is done.
Time for my first cup of coffee.
Happy new day, everyone !

Helicopter traffic.
Living here on the coast of Norway I see and hear helicopters nearly every single day.
Not since 1978 have we had a disaster like the one that happened on Friday, when 13 people lost their lives!
Newspapers, radio and TV have been covering the tragedy where a Super Puma EC225 crashed just outside Bergen, on it's way from the "Gullfaks B" platform.
The loss for family, friends and colleagues is devastating!
For Statoil and other oil companies, safety has been, and will be, number one.
All helicopters of the same type are grounded until they have found answers to why this happened.
In 2015 there were more than 600.000 passengers travelling to and from platforms here in Norway.
