Outside the pub CARDINAL

Perhaps the pub sign is new, or maybe it is just me looking UP and seeing things differently?
One thing is for sure; this is a pub that has a very good range of different types of beer.
Stavanger wants to be known for the good choices of beers, festivals and events.
But Trondheim city (further north) wants the same, so I guess there is some sort of competition going on.

URD,- the extreme weather is on it's way...

We have been out for a walk, but now it is best to stay inside....
Strong winds, a bit of hail in the air and on the ground.
We are asked to put things away so loose items will not fly off into the air.
URD, the extreme weather is on it's way!
What will happen with the Christmas trees outside the pub "The Irishman"???
At home it is time for more Christmas food, and if the weather is too bad tonight, our guests might have to stay over. No problem.
Have a nice Boxing Day wherever you are!

Nilsen & Wold.

Middle aged people will remember this house "Nilsen & Wold" as a popular pub with karaoke and lively evenings.
Some time back the student organisation wanted to use it as their HOUSE in town.
But it ended with a problem and was not allowed to serve alcohol, basically because
there were too many places nearby that were already licensed.
(Strict political and geographic rules here.)
Time will show if it will be filled with people again, or rented out as office space?

It is quiet in Stavanger now.

Early evening in Stavanger, near the fish market and harbor, also called Vågen.
It feels like half of the populations have left, and gone to cottages, visiting friends or family or perhaps headed for a week abroad.
The houses you see here are mainly pubs, bars, nightclubs and restaurants.
We have had plenty of rain the whole day, but around 18.30 the sun was shining again.
Enjoy the Easter Holiday!
