Football.
It sounded and looked like the football fever was high in town yesterday evening.

Football fans were out watching the game on big screens.
Here is a glimpse from outside one of the pubs near the harbour area in town.

So who will win the championship this year?

SKOLESKIPET SJØKURS

I have had a nice tour around the school ship SJØKURS (Normally based in Kristiansand), where 60 young people can start their maritime education.
From time to time they are out on the open sea.
They had just been to Bergen, and this weekend they are visiting Stavanger.
Visitors were allowed onboard with guided tours.
My guide was Jack Hanche, from Horten. I had a nice and interesting tour.
The ship used to be part of the old Hurtigruten, as "Ragnvald Jarl"

Less than 10 days ago....

Less than 10 days ago,
when the sun was out and the sky was BLUE.

From Bangkok to Stavanger.

This is Warut and Kratai from Bangkok.
They are having a two weeks holiday in Norway.
And they have explored places like Oslo, Flåm, Bergen and the Pulpit Rock.
Now it was time for Stavanger.
A nice couple, and looking very smart & trendy.

Soon you are back home, to your city and your own company.
I hope you will have even more good memories with you after the stop in Stavanger.

Sjoborg Leirvik.

I don't know who they were or what they were doing this afternoon.
But it looked like they had fun, so if it was work they must have had a jolly good day!

I zoomed in and found the name "Sjoborg Leirvik", and thanks to google I found out that they might work on the offshore supply ship from the Faeroe Island.

Anyway, on the way out of Vågen the speed went up, and on a grey day like this it was also great to see some splash of bright colour.

Ready for Christmas?

This is work in progress.
The huge father Christmas might be put somewhere else?
The place has become some sort of a landmark in Stavanger.
Some people find it tacky, some LOVE it.

TROND and his RIB-boat.

This man has found a smart way to go to work.
He uses the RIB and parks it at Vågen. It can't be more central than that.
TROND only takes 15 minutes in his RIB boat, and the family can enjoy a summer at the cottage.

From the Netherlands via Kiel and several other stops.
SAFIER is the name.

Sunny Saturday.

Sunny Saturdays are special in Stavanger.

People are out and enjoying the day!
