The station building.

The station building at the railway station in Stavanger.
No trains continue from Stavanger.... just plenty of stops (back) south and east to Kristiansand and Oslo.

Busses instead of trains.

Another summer with busses instead of trains....

SIGVE

SIGVE was going to fix something under the platform where I was standing.
He works in a building nearby, and the work had nothing to do with the railway.

Next month "bus for trains" starts. Let us hope they will finish the work this summer.

Stavanger Railway Station.

It is Christmas soon and The Railway Station building has been decorated.
Lots of people have already booked their trips, so they can visit friends & family.
There are 30 stops on the 8 hours journey from Stavanger to Oslo.

Railway.

NSB ( our railway company) has had problems, but seriously it is the company with best customer service these days!

Always welcoming, smiling and helpful!

This is just a snapshot, of one of the employees :)

The railway station.

This is the railway station in Stavanger.
(The last stop on the route that takes about 7-8 hours from Oslo.)
Well, this is a small local train, used by commuters between Stavanger and Egersund.
An easy "green" way to travel for those living close to the railway.

The station.

This image is taken a couple of days back..... before the rain started.
(Still pouring down with rain, and windy but no storms...... )

It is the station Mariero, half way between Stavanger and Sandnes.
If you look carefully, you might see the rainbow?

This is a photo of a local train on it`s way to Stavanger.
(From Egersund, further south there are 18 stops)
But from here the train has only 5 minutes left before arriving.
Stavanger to Oslo by train is also possible, and that takes approximately 8 hours.
As you see, some of the distance is along Gandsfjord.
