One amazing place to visit with kids is VITENFABRIKKEN, The Science Factory, in Sandnes.
A short trip by train, south of Stavanger to the city Sandnes.

These are wonderful places...I'd favor most anything that could interest kids in science. In the US these days there is a certain anti-science sentiment that has grown up which is very sad and very dangerous.
I think this place is the most wonderful place for kids.. and why not for us too.
I assume this place is popular for schools to take their students on field trips. I'd love to go along too :)

I love places like this! We have a Science Museum in London that I'm particularly fond of.
Just got back from Stavanger with a lot of stories and I especially loved the street art there...missed this one though!
