An allotment garden.

This is what is behind the trees. ( See yesterdays posting)
I will recommend to all of you who like gardening or just to look at something pretty, go and take a look at allotment gardens, surrounded with flowers, trees, vegetables and fruits. It is not that far from the city centre, and it is a nice, well kept place with the perfect view down to the fjord. Friendly people "living" there. It was a pure pleasure to look around.

From April to the end of September, the cafe is also open on Sundays from 12 to 16.

The lady who you see here, told me that her husband came home with a key to this place 50 years ago, and she said that she will never ever sell the place.
I can understand why she said that.
A paradise on earth.

STRØMVIK is the name of this place. 44 gardens, and the smallest allotment area in Stavanger.

We have a community garden in town where people can rent a plot for the year and grow flowers, vegetables or whatever else they like. I like that little house. I would hold on to it too!

The gardens look wonderful, as does the the little cottage.

It does look like a good, quiet spot to grow things.

A grassy roof? Most unusual.
