Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast. My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive. Welcome back for another look.

Oh, yes, it is a caterpillar. We have them here in Ohio, too. :)
In Brazil they are somewhat common and we call them 'hairy critter'. When I was a child I was told they burned the skin if touched, but I never knew if it is true.
Some caterpillars do have a toxic touch- it's a defence mechanism. I don't know which kind this one is though...
Looks kind of like what we call woolly caterpillars here. I've seen them quite frequently recently on the C&O Canal towpath.
We have them here in Kentucky.
Micro Poodle!
Do come visit on Sunday, Dear. I'd like you to share in my big big announcement.

I used to hear in the States that the severity of the upcoming winter could be predicted by the length of hairs on the woolly caterpillar.
Looks like a caterpillar to me, too! Cute.
