It is always the same.....
Before Christmas we have weeks/months where we are bombarded with 100's of recipes about what to make, what to buy and how to decorate....
After Christmas Tv programs, are about healthy living, most magazines are full of good advice on how to lose weight. (Like these magazines offering a diet that will help you lose 3 kilos in one week, or 6 kilos in just 4 weeks! :) On top of that, what we bought in December can now be bought for half price or perhaps even 70% cheaper.
Is it the same in your country?

PS:"Sladder" is the same as gossip.

I agree with Costas... Also, at the gym I go to every morning (5am) we have a joke about the people who start coming in January and are gone by March... We call them "the reformers."

Have a creative and wonderful 2011!

Don't forget how we're urged to buy, buy, buy stuff. Then in January magazines give us hints about how to reduce clutter, simplify our lives, and change our bad habits. Soak, wash, rinse, spin and it happens all over again. Silly us.

If the magazines at the checkout line at my grocery are any indication, the magazines are about the Kardashians, Lady Gaga and Lindsay Lohan.

Jeg tykker mest om "Svensk Damtidning" og ibland "Se og hor!" Viktiga historier om kungligheterna.....

It's almost the same here for the prices, but I don't know much about TV programs.

Yes it's the same here! I told my husband to be prepared for the onslaught because as soon as New Years hits you walk in the stores and are bombarded with all the weight loss products up front and the magazines all have the "you are a fatty" articles and "miracle weight loss cures!" headlines. And people always seem to buy them!
