What sort of sculptures do we have in and around Stavanger?
Well, I have discovered several that I don't know much about.
Today I read about this "Roundabout bird" made by John Josefsen, so I went to my archive and found this shot taken at Klepp, south of Stavanger....
I like this 5 meter tall bird that has been standing there as a well known landmark for nearly a year.
We have many roundabouts, some will soon get lots of colorful flowers.

Very cute and hard to miss...looks like it's about ready to soar!
I agree with Jacob. It seems ready to soar!
Hey Gunn. I am going to apply for the great Norvegian University in Trondhiem/Norway. If they'll accept me I'll be in Norway by 1 year...
But I hear that Trondhiem is so cold and always snowy. Is it right?
It is cold in the winter, but it is a very nice city. Slightly bigger than Stavanger. And they have lots of students and many activities for the students from day one!:-) In the spring, summer and autumn it is just like most places in Norway,-ok temperature, but never as hot as you and people living further south are used to. Do apply soon, and let us hope you are one of the lucky ones.
A very long legged bird bird, you have to show us this again when the flowers are blooming.
Thank you Gunn. I hope they accept me as their student for M.A level.
Oh I love this bird. He looks like he was going to fly away but decided to stay. MB
Lovely bird!
Never seen a roundabout bird, but I have a few photos of roundabout dogs.
