Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast. My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive. Welcome back for another look.

Good shot ....
Fantastic shot !! Great beauty !!Unseen Rajasthan
Original shot. They will not be remembered, but simply replaced by an utilitarian and heartless owner, ready to get rid of them at the first sign of weakness.
Sign o' the times and our consumer civilisation and seasonal shot. Very well done.
Umbrella killing. Where is society headed?
Poor thing. I hope whoever was holding it let go at the appropriate time. And I hope it gets an appropriate burial after serving its owner for oh, a day or two, anyway.
Well, whoever was holding it should have least retrieved it for the bin. Leaving a broken umbrella in the street is littering!
A very common sight in stormy days. Good catch!
So many broken umbrellas in this world... Wonder where they all go? Is there somewhere a secret umbrella cemetery, like for elephants? Who knows? I remember counting broken brollys after the last big storm we had here, last Christmas, think I saw over 50 in half an hour.
We can launch satellites into space where solar panel appendages fan out strong enough to handle solar winds, but we can't build sturdy umbrellas strong enough for the wind.
