Some of the small narrow streets in the centre of Stavanger, have a surface that is not always good for a brisk walk on high heals!:-)
This street has quite a steep slope. At least they have thought about when it is slippery and made a center section that makes it easier to walk on.

High heels on a down slope like that would be taking your life in your hands...even it the middle, it would seem! At least the powers-that-be recognize the problem.

How about an alternative route if'n you have to wear high heels?

Nicely composed photo!

Hei Jacob,
I am quite good at choosing different routes through the centre of the city, based on the weather conditions and footwear... another important factor of course is if I am in a hurry or not! :-)

Oh that looks difficult to walk on. I'm always the girl that gets her heel stuck and ends up taking the next step without the shoes. Very embarrassing. But it's lovely photo :)

Beautiful street, and fantastic workmanship! Well worth the effort of walking on the old stones! Cheers and thanks for the visit!

It's not easy or common to see a pavement like this. May be difficult to walk but it's awesome. I hope they keep it this way, sorry for hurrying high heels!
