Nearly an accident today!

The last day of the year could have ended with a bang or two or three...

On the busiest road in Stavanger, an elderly man in his 80's made a wrong turn that gave those of us who witnessed it a chance to test out our brakes.

Luckily nobody was injured!

I hope everyone will have a HAPPY NEW YEAR and that you celebrate just the way you want.

Kim Larsen

Kim Larsen is a Danish rock musician who, at the age of 72 , will give a concert in Stavanger next year. He is a legend in Scandinavia and obviously still has a huge following.

The banners and adverts are already out, like here at the ongoing roadworks at Madlaveien and the motorway.

I feel sorry for the people who have to LIVE here when this huge roadwork is going on.

I have been to places where there are so many big signs with advertising.

Anyway, we don't have many around in private gardens here in Stavanger.
I guess they must be paid a fortune those who allow them outside their homes.

KUNSTGALLERIET

A nice corner of the first floor at KUNSTGALLERIET at Madlaveien.
They have quite a range of work from famouse artists, some foreign and some Norwegian.
It is walking distance from the city centre.

The road Madlaveien is quiet now.
Many people have taken a long Easter Holiday and gone away for a week or two.

There are so many new buildings being built in our area.
Here you can see the progress with the Clarion Hotel Energy.
A few more months now, and then it will be ready to welcome staff and customers.

Clarion Hotel Energy.

I keep an eye on Clarion Hotel Energy, (when I pass by.)
It will be opening it's doors for guests and conferences in August of next year.
I just have a feeling that it will be very nice!
And I promise to give you an update later.
Anyway, it is a little out of the city centre, but next to a conference area, with a shopping mall nearby and lots of places to go for walks or even jogging for those who are "born to run".
