It is soon Christmas time, and here you see some children waiting to visit the Cathedral.
Today was a perfect day to take a trip in to town. Cold but sunny.
It is up to the parents to say yes or no for their children to attend a church service before Christmas.
Some schools in Stavanger as well as other places in Norway have decided not to use the word Christmas, and instead name it a December event, where they sing the songs but words as Christmas/ Father Christmas have been changed to something "neutral".
Probably difficult to be a teacher and talk about Christmas without using the word....
I guess the discussion will continue also after Christmas this year....

I'm not particularly religious, so I'm not coming at it from that angle, but that really is ridiculous.
it has been that way here in the US for quite a while but seems to be taking a turn back to Merry Christmas...it's all a bit silly!
