I saw something unusual near the beach today, a large whale that had been stranded.
Unfortunately, it looks like the whale might already be dead....

Well, just hope it was by natural causes and not because of a run-in with a ship or fishing net.

Whales come ashore from time to time in southern New England, too, but that usually happens when they are diseased and are unlikely to survive.
