Walking through Østervåg, I noticed these two inscriptions....
It tells some dreadful facts about what happened to two of the Jewish people living in our city during the war. They were sent to Auschwitz. The small Jewish community in Stavanger did not survive the war!

You see them throughout Europe, and they are poignant.
You see them at different cities in Europe, didn't know Norway had them too.

We have several of these around town. Our Jewish community is smaller now, but still thriving...
