Sunday afternoon .....

I have just started reading a German book,
"DIE WAHRHEIT UND ANDERE LÜGEN", by Sascha Arango.
It is translated into Norwegian, so that makes it easier.

Do you have a book that you would recommend?

My favourite novel is by an American writer, Michael Shaara, called The Killer Angels. It tells the story of the battle of Gettysburg from the point of view of several commanders.

I am reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. The author and her siblings had the most dysfunctional parents imaginable, moving constantly, ill-fed, ill-housed. It is almost too painful to read.

All of John Steinbeck’s books are great. East of Eden and Grapes of Wrath are what he is most famous for. But the one I recommend is called Tortilla Flat

Le livre que je viens de finir : "La fin du vandalisme" par Tom Drury, une petite chronique du Middle West américain.
