Playing cards.

Before going to the cinema tonight I had a stop at one of the coffee bars at the Culture Centre.

These three young students had also found a table.... and were so concentrated, playing cards.

They are all studying to get the qualifications needed to get work out in the North Sea on oil rigs.

But on a windy and rainy evening it is good to find a place indoors.

From the right you see Tom Erik who is from Kristiansand (Born in South Dakota) . The man at the back is Bengt from Hamar, and the third one is Tor - Kristian from Kirkenes.

I like the concentration and fleeting moment you caught. (That one's come a long way from South Dakota:)

Cards sure get the mind working, I've always been totally hopeless at card games :) They look very intent on their game Gunn!

Great photo. They are all so absorbed in the game. Thank you for visiting my blog on the Thames path. I did that walk in the Summer when the path was dry not like now when most of it is underwater.

One needs to get away from the books for awhile and playing cards is a good way to do it.

Love the photo. They do look serious about the "game"!
