We have some old and beautiful houses around in Stavanger, and some have been kept in families for generations. Most of them have been updated and redecorated for this century.

We also have young people who will have serious problems to get their first home, without mum and dad helping with the finances.

I like this one, Gunn. It would fit in OK in New England.

Very nice.

I understand the real estate market in Norway has gone wild. I certainly hope they aren't headed for a bubble as happened in the US.

Jack is right, this house would look right at home in New England.

We, too, are having a terrible housing issue - homeownership is out of reach for many and folks are questioning "the American Dream" - some people downplay the severity of the economic crisis, but it does seem that the middle class is shrinking. I worry for my daughter's generation...

It's a beautiful looking old house Gunn, I wonder how long it is actually going to be before the housing market is a thriving prospect again!
