An oil- rig on Gandsfjord.
It is probably in Stavanger for maintenance.
Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast. My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive. Welcome back for another look.

I love it when you can bring them in for maintenance. :) It's a beautiful sight, isn't it. We sailed past rigs in the Gulf of Mexico regularly in the early morning hours and the lights were always so beautiful.
Those huge things can travel on their own?
They are huge... one called the Kulluk was towed into Seattle for maintenance at Vigor Shipyards recently. THIS is a great shot!
What a contrast..
But wonderful capture!
Great image Gunn, like the glow on the water and the dark shapes of the mountains in the background!
Great shot. I can't imagine those be towed around but I guess it makes sense. Cool scene, Gunn.
This is wonderful, Gunn. Just look at the way the rig glows.
