The youngest author debutant this year is this man from Stavanger.
ERIK MELING SELE, a 23 year old civil and environmental engineering student at NTNU in Trondheim, who was back in his hometown to promote and celebrate his first book last Thursday.
Those of us who had the chance to be there, received a copy of his book "The Coffin", which you see at the back of him.
He told us that he was inspired by Roald Dahl's short stories.
He wrote this collection of crime stories while he was studying, and taking part in several other activities for the students.
So that is what I will start reading tonight.
What are you reading at the moment?

An autobiography of a dutch female writer "Yvonne Keuls" She wrote novels, plays and television scripts on social themes.
I am reading the 'subject' of my Sunday post: "In Tuscany" by Montgomery Carmichael, published in 1901!
Roald Dahl was a favorite of mine many years ago. I am reading A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz at the moment. It is very funny and sad.
Is his book in English? I am reding wikileaks at the moment
I wonder what's the story line in a book titled "The Coffin" ...
I have just started to re-read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt, a story about death in Savannah, Georgia. This is in preparation for a biking and hiking trip in that area in two weeks.
I don't read books... not even comics. Only magazines.
Cool! I'l try to check it out.
Yes, he does look young - to me anyway. I'm reading French stories about the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 and a Margery Allingham mystery, appropriately named "Mystery Mile".

This is an intriguing photo! I really like it. Looks surreal.
Hmm I'm always reading a dozen books which are strewn about the house.
Usually not fiction. The gamut. Yoga. Sawdust firing. Books on nutrition and healthy diets.
And usually a book by some Indian Saint or other.
Blogs, facebook. Cookbooks.
I'd like a good work of fiction, but I am really like the man in your photo, a great fan of the short story. I enjoy Granta and the Graywolfe Annuals. Etc for short stories. And Story magazine.
It's a wonder I get anything done, or a book read, huh?
